I am proud to announce that my latest piece was an independent contribution to Intercalation Station, a popular newsletter in the battery space!
I have been following Intercalation team from the beginning and enjoy the breath of their work. The team produces content bridging academia and industry in all things batteries.
I dissected a few research papers relating to sodium ion battery development. The main paper, Sodium Ion Roadmap, was a comprehensive analysis of all of the materials that have been experimented with in sodium ion battery research.
Sodium is conveniently located beneath lithium on the periodic table, and various research is cited over the past decade on its use in lithium ion batteries. It goes without question that the current supply crunch of lithium is pressing. The price of lithium bases and other components continue to push higher and higher. Rising raw material costs are causing further price increases on electric vehicles and making it less affordable for the average consumer. Insight is needed in the space, and if there is aplace you are going to get it, it is with Intercalation! Check out their Substack and related content, and give a follow on Twitter!
